Mukundgarh Tourism

Overview

Mukundgarh also called Mukandgarh, has some of the finest frescoes and murals in the entire Shekhawati region comprising of Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Mandawa and Mukundgarh. Collectively this entire region is also referred to as an Open Art Gallery. The Mukundgarh village was founded in the 18th century by Raja Mukand Singh and has now grown into a charming town of royal Rajasthan.
┬áThe town is rustic and there are abundant jeep, camel and horse safaris available to enjoy the beauty of sand dunes. A dinner under the stars out in the sand dunes, accompanied by torch light and folk performances, is an experience to be cherished. The three havelis or painted mansions of Kanoria, Ganeriwal and Saraf are visited by all tourists to this region for their beauty and fine example of colors’ usage.
