Detailed Itinerary Day 01 : Arrive Delhi Arrive by International flight, after traditional 'Swagat' (Welcome) our representative would assist you at airport & transfer to hotel for check in. Day 02 : Delhi
Today we take a guided tour of Old Delhi, the 17th century walled city of Shah Jahanabad, Visiting the great Jama Masjid, the principal mosque of Old Delhi. Built in the year 1656 AD by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, it is the largest & best known mosque in India. Later we walk down or take a rickshaw ride through Chandi Chowk, the old marketplace of Shah Jahanabad now a picturesque bazaar to reach Red Fort, built in the year 1648 by Shah Jehan. Day 03 : Delhi – Jaipur (262km - 05hr) Today we drive to Jaipur, popularly known as Pink City, the flamboyant & colourful capital of Rajasthan. With its rich & colourful past, resplendent with tales of valour & bravery, it is now one of the most important heritage cities in India. The city was founded in the year 1728 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber. It remains the only city in the world symbolizing the nine divisions of the universe, through nine rectangular sectors. Day 04 : Jaipur
After an early breakfast, we drive 11 km to Amber, the capital of the gallant Rajputs from 1037 to 1728 AD. We ride on elephant back & reach Fort situated on hill & then visit the Fort Palace. Later we visit City Palace, Birla Temple, Jantar Mantar Observatory & Palace of Winds. Optional Excursion to Chokhi Dhani:
After breakfast in the coffee shop, we drive at 0900 hrs to Agra. En route we visit Fatehpur Sikri, a masterpiece in sandstone with the stunning elegance of its palaces & courts. Further proceed to Agra, upon arrival we help you check-in at our hotel at Agra. In the evening enjoy the magic show performed by the local magician.
Agra, erstwhile capital of great Mughals & known for Taj Mahal. It has always fascinated Indians & foreigners alike. Most of Agra is on West bank of river Yamuna, with the Agra Fort & Taj Mahal at its nucleus. Taj Mahal is quite simply one of mankind's most remarkable creations. Later we will depart for Delhi, En route we visit Mathura (Shri Krishna Janmabhumi Temple) & Vrindavan (Bankey Bihari Temple & ISKCON Temple) (Temples is close between 1200–1600 hrs), related with birth & childhood of Lord Krishna. Day 07 : Delhi - Haridwar (225 km-5 hrs.)
Early morning post breakfast drive to Haridwar at 0900 hrs. It is on the banks of River Ganges (Ganga) & located at the foothills of the lower Himalayan Range of the Shivalik mountains. It is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus. When the Ganges leaves the mountains & enters the plains, Haridwar is the first major town on the plains. Though the Ganges does not lose its rapids completely, nevertheless it becomes very quiet & calm here. Haridwar has earned fame as being the place, which has been blessed by the trinity of the Lords Shiva, Vishnu & Brahma.
Today we leave for a full Day excursion of Rishikesh, a very important Hindu pilgrimage site. Its also a cluster of Ashrams & temples giving the entire place a spiritual feeling. The ceaseless flow of the river, regarded as Goddess Ganga adds to the beauty & the purity of the place. Along the river, area is filled with thick green forests in the all-mountainous region. Rishikesh is famous for its yoga sessions that are taught here by many yoga experts. Besides the sadhus & saints, a mass of tourists too visit here every year to have a look at this much heard place. If the wonderful scenery & the numerous pilgrimage sites are not enough, Rishikesh also makes some of the most popular adventure sport destination of India. River rafting, trekking, rock climbing, hiking etc are some of the activities one can easily opt for. We will be visiting Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Geeta Bhawan,other temples & ashrams. Later in the evening drive back to Hotel in Haridwar Day 09 : Haridwar- Delhi (225 km - 5 hrs.), Departure Morning at leisure. Later in the afternoon at 1500 hrs we drive back to Delhi.
