Adventure in Rajasthan can mean many things, ranging from safaris and wilderness camps to wildlife reserves, an experience of the sand dunes particularly at night time, trekking and ballooning to even parasailing and hangliding. If the spirit is willing, the options are enormous.
The braves of Rajasthan have always been adventurous in spirit. Hunting was a passion with the rulers of Rajasthan, that’s why they created a number of wildlife reserves. The royals of Rajasthan even contributed a new sport that is now very popular and exists in different forms: Polo is played in the form of horse polo, camel polo, elephant polo and even bicycle polo!
The golden sands and lush forests of Rajasthan invite you to enjoy a safari on camel, horse or elephant back or in a jeep. As Rajasthan is surrounded by the Aravali mountain range, there are several valleys that are perfect for hang gliding and parasailing. You can also take a trek or do rock climbing in the Aravalis at Mount Abu and also in other towns.
Golf, vintage car rally, archery and boating in the Chambal River through the gorges of the Vindhayan plateau of Hadoti are available for sports lovers. You can even pilot a small aircraft or a hot air balloon across the various heritage cities of Rajasthan and get the perfect aerial view of its numerous forts, palaces and colourful fairs.
