Ajmer Sharif Dargah

Ajmer Sharif Dargah is undoubtedly the most visited place of tourist importance in Ajmer. This is the majestic tomb of Sufi Saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti who was a sufi mystic saint and philosopher belonging to the 13th century. The shrine has a main gate named the Nizam Gate followed by the Shahjahani Gate which was built by Shah Jahan. Then there is the Buland Darwaza erected by Sultan Mahmood Khilji. Sharif Dargah is known for vivacious celebrations of Urs festival which is attended by thousands of devotees from all parts of the world.

Nasiyan Jain Temple

Nasiyan Jain Temple of Ajmer was constructed in 1865. It is dedicated to Lord Adinath. Apart from the main temple complex, a part of it is now a museum exhibiting five stages in the life of Lord Adinath. The temple looks beautiful with gold and silver embellishments.


Akbar's Palace

History lovers must plan a visit to the Akbar’s Palace. The monument is known for its intricate artwork and inscriptions. Two imposing stone walls surround the main temple complex. A part of the palace is now a museum displaying antique treasures, stone sculpture and miniature paintings.

Ana Sagar Lake

Visit the banks of Ana Sagar Lake during evening or early morning hours to enjoy some moments of peace. This man-made lake was built by Maharaja Anaji between 1135 and 1150 AD. Bring your camera along and capture breathtaking views of the nature sprawling around the lake.
